Mash up
Architecture can be seen as a
composition of many single elements. Optimization of single elements should be prioritised over looking at the complete structure. A structure of interest should be targeted to optimize its function,
whether it is to improve efficiency, or improve the general
impression of the structure. A group of optimized
structures allows for more possibilities in comparison to seeing the structure as a whole.

Entrance - The aesthetics found from the building can be seen through the minimalistic theme which runs through the building which focusing on optimising the individual elements of the building. |
Aerial View - The size of the lecture room highlights its significance over the other smaller rooms. |
Gallery - The large open spaces of the gallery is optimised to encourage social activity from students. |
View from ANZAC Parade - Onlookers from ANZAC Parade can see the various classrooms and individual components which make up the building without having to enter the building. |
Classrooms - The classrooms can be see individual from the rest of the building, separate yet a core aspect of the building. |
School of Civil Engineering
The rooms of the building can be seen as individual elements serving as the building's facade. Every room appears to be attached to the main building and sized as though separate from the rest of the building. However when within the building, each room plays the role in which they are required and at the same time each room is able to integrate to the rest of the building. The building bridges to the Tyree building which specialises in one of the many branches of engineering, namely energy. Energy consumption is an important factor for civil engineers when considering a building.
